Chinchikurin: The Ultimate Destination for Authentic Japanese Okonomiyaki in Torrance

It's my first time having this. I thought it was great. I would eat this again. I liked the texture of everthing.

Chichikurin is hands down my go-to spot for delicious okonomiyaki. The staff is super friendly and always makes us feel welcomed. The casual atmosphere adds to the overall experience, making it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a tasty meal. I highly recommend Chichikurin for anyone looking for some delicious Japanese food. Try their spicy GOAM.

Great place for naughty food. Noodles on my GOAM are crispy. Cheesy fries also yum. Service is good although slow wait (30 mins on Sunday). Inside is small.

Food was so yummy and ambiance made me feel like I was back in Japan again The okonomiyaki was so wonderfully crispy and flavorful, and I love that our server gave us extra sauce and kewpie mayo packets to add to our liking. There are different okonomiyaki flavors that I wanted to try, so will def be making the drive (from OC) to visit this place again!

The food was incredible and the servers were so kind to us. I've just been once, but I can already tell it's going to become a spot I frequent! I got the spicy GOAM and the Spicy Udamare Cabbage, both were great, my partner and I were so full but we couldn't stop eating the Udamare Cabbage till it was all gone

My sister and I went out to dinner to celebrate her birthday. She wanted to try something new something different, we drove around and found Chinchikurin in Torrance. We were greeted when we walked in and was able to find a table for two. The restaurant was small, clean and it was busy on a Friday night. We didn't know what to expect what was on the menu but we ordered the Steamed octopus, Fried oysters, Mentaiko Cheese (smaller than I thought but tasty) and Chinchikurinyaki Okonomiyaki. All of the dishes were delicious and we are happy that we have given this place a try, it was a great experience and would come again to try other dishes on the menu.

Great service, great food. We had the tongue and the Karaage for appetizers. Both were amazing, especially the tongue. I ordered the Hiroshima with mochi and crispy noodles. They were all amazing. The okonomyaki was so huge that I ate half the next day. The last time I came here, we did take out for the hollywood bowl and it was equally yum.

The good: I got the karage with green onion and mayonnaise, the Hokkaido cake roll, yuzu honey soda, and the deluxe okonomiyaki with shrimp, octopus and pork. The karage wasn't dry and wasn't hard from having too much batter. It tasted freshly fried. The yuzu soda was refreshing and they gave us a big cup. The cake roll had great tea flavor. You could choose crunchy or soft noodles in the okonomiyaki. You can also add additional toppings for a price. I really enjoyed using the cool mini spatula made specially to cut okonomiyaki. At the bar area, you can watch the chefs make these pancakes. I came on a Friday evening and got seated immediately. They gave us a kids' bowl and fork for our toddler. The bad: The karage was salty. There's no outdoor dining. The bathrooms don't have baby changing tables. The octopus was tough and chewy. It took awhile before our server came to take our order. The interesting: We tried going to the Korean bbq place next door but the 35 minute wait was what led us to discover this spot. I was surprised the cake roll came frozen. I was surprised the okonomiyaki comes with bean sprouts. The interior is small so the space isn't as ideal for large groups or strollers.
